Overview

The User Experience Designer’s primary function is to design and develop an amazing User Experience.  User Experience Designers work closely with business leaders and other members of the development team to ensure the success of new products, applications, and new versions of existing products.   

Responsibilities

  • Use the latest quantitative and qualitative user research techniques to provide business and user-focused strategy recommendations.
  • Conduct competitive analyses of similar commercial digital product experiences.
  • Build storyboards to convey project plans, plus track and report usability goals for senior management.
  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes for intuitive user experiences.
  • Research and user-test digital product experiences.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to elicit an understanding of product vision by supporting strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core product function.
  • Collaborate with a team of product owners and engineering team members on all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Identify design problems, develop elegant analysis and solutions, and justify design decisions eloquently.
  • Incorporate best practices for accessibility, usability, web performance, and design into our products and ultimately evangelize a more consistent and delightful user experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ years of verifiable UX and UI design experience.
  • Minimum of ONE years of experience eliciting requirements and synthesizing information from multiple sources to design rich customer experiences
  • Working knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, etc.) 
  • Experience in practical user research, usability testing and consumer insight gathering.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology.
  • Proficiency with design and presentation applications (i. e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding research skills
