Overview

The Change Manager is ultimately responsible for the quality and integrity of the Change Management Process, and the day–to-day operational management of the process.   

Responsibilities

  • Hosts CAB meetings to ensure all changes are reviewed and approved, rejected, cancelled, or rescheduled. with other planned changes or events.
  • Reviews the change risk & impact analysis to ensure that this has been performed thoroughly.
  • Ensures that appropriate actions have been planned to minimize both the risk of failure and the impact on users during change implementations.
  • Ensures that the timing of planned implementations does not conflict with other planned changes or events.
  • Reviews implementation plans, tasks and verifies required documentation is attached.
  • Ensures that all ticket mandatory fields have been completed accurately
    • Facilitate voting (approval/rejection) for all proposed changes.
    • Rejects changes which are incomplete
    • Support all communications surrounding Change Management procedure
    • Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of Training required for procedure participants
    • Assist IT Teams with new process instruction and implementation
    • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the Change Management process
    • Identify and generate key volume and performance reporting metrics related to changes for SR Management and Business consumption

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ plus years of IT experience
  • A solid understanding of ITIL standards and practices
  • Detailed knowledge of change management process
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • ITIL, Change management certification or designation desired
  • Experience working with Enterprise Change Management Tool a plus
