Overview

The primary function of a SharePoint Administrator is to be responsible for maintaining the SharePoint environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring system performance. This role will also serve as System Administrator for the Hubley intranet platform.  This position may require evening and after hour availability.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists with Administering day-to-day operations of SharePoint and the Hubley Intranet environments
  • Responsible for administering SharePoint in an Office 365 environment
  • Responsible for designing and administering group-based SharePoint permissions
  • Responsible for integration with other Office 365 Solutions such as Power Automate, PowerApps and Forms for the use of building customer solutions and apps.
  • Responsible for deploying and managing custom SharePoint solutions
  • Ability to stay up to date on Office 365 release notes and notify teams and customers of upcoming changes
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and integration with SharePoint Online
  • Must have experience and knowledge in IIS
  • Manage tool governance which includes management of Roles/Access, Policies (retention and archival), Content lifecycle and Training of future additional Administrators
  • Educate and train users of SharePoint/Hubley; create manuals and in person or virtual trainings
  • Responsible for reconfiguring folders/sites and proposing changes to make platform more effective and user friendly
  • Overall responsibility of ensuring platform is up-to-date and functioning at optimal level
  • Assists in the monitoring of system performance and maintenance, including communicating upgrades, downtime, and incidents to users
  • Establishes and maintains Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plan and objectives related to system infrastructure
  • Responsible for managing and tracking all system changes
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, connectivity, mapping, processes, and service records
  • Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
  • Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Microsoft Certification is a plus
  • 5+ years of related work experience, including tier II experience
  • 3+ years of SharePoint and C# development experience required
  • Experience with SharePoint required, experience with Hubley platform also preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Experience performing System Administration role
  • Flexibility and experience with On-Call and production oversight
  • Strong verbal and excellent written communication skills; strong attention to detail
  • Excellent project management and time management skills
  • Effective in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical reports, and documentation
  • Present information to executive and senior management teams, sales department, internal groups and/or clients
