Responsibilities
- Communicating with all lines of business to determine their reporting and analytics needs and defining the most appropriate business intelligence (BI) solutions;
- Participating in all phases of the development life cycle and gathering requirements, defining solutions, and ultimately developing a useful end product;
- Documenting business requirements and building reports according to those requirements;
- Analyzing, designing, developing and implementing Data Warehouse and Database applications using Microsoft SQL Server;
- Developing ad-hoc SQL queries, SSRS reports, and dashboards;
- Building SSRS reports using parameters, conditional formatting, and grouping;
- Creating Power BI dashboards by joining multiple data tables;
- Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions with an understanding of performance factors, such as indexes, execution plans and statistics;
- Designing and developing dashboards, scorecards, charts, pivot tables, reports, and reporting systems according to business requirements;
- Delivering ad-hoc reports under tight deadlines, as needed by the business;
- Determining required Microsoft business intelligence components (SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Excel) to meet reporting requirements;
- Creating various Complex reports, including drill down, drill through, and Sub reports;
- Working with business analysts and other developers on design of technical solutions; and
- Estimating technical effort required to deliver assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems Electrical Engineering or a related field and experience, training or coursework creating complex Stored Procedures, writing SQL Queries, creating Pivot and Unpivot Tables, Common Table Expressions (CTE), Aggregate Conditions, Drill through reports, and Drill down reports; and
- Experience, training or coursework using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, MS-SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, ETL, Visual Studio, MS Office Tools, BIDS, Joins, and Materialized Views.
