Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

The Software Engineer’s primary function is to design and develop tools and applications to support Mortgage Connect’s business and objectives.  Software Engineers work closely with Quality Assurance, Technical Architecture, and other members of development to ensure the success of new products, applications, and new versions of existing products.  Software Engineers work with a wide range of technology through all phases of the software development life cycle to produce and enhance scalable and robust software applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops tools and applications to support all phases of Mortgage Connect’s business operations
  • Translates application requirements into a robust well designed technical solution
  • Performs unit testing on software applications
  • Debugs software and fix defects uncovered during the testing process
  • Works with application analysts or coordinators, test engineers, and technical writers to ensure the successful rollout of new applications or features
  • Works with Software Architects on implementation strategies

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 1-3 years work experience in a development role
  • Academic and/or career related experience with building applications using: C#, .NET Framework, .NET, SQL Server, XML, or JSON
  • Experience with source controls systems such as GIT or Team Foundation Server
  • Experience in event-driven programming and multi-tiered Client/Server architectures is a plus
  • A strong understanding of Object Oriented concepts
  • Logical thinker with ability to develop well structured designs for complex applications
  • Effective in fast paced environment
  • Collaborative/enjoys working in teams
  • Self starter/motivator
  • Creative and effective problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
